Re-opening of Twickenham
A protest took place on the 13 May 2022 from hackney shaft to Moopetsi camp where the twickenham offices are based in sekhukhune fetakgomo Tubatse municipality,Where the mine has been placed under care and maintenance for over 5 years and communities demanding for the licence to be revoked or hand it back to communities.
The communities where handing over the memorandum of demands to the twickenham management,after several meetings and a picket that took place at the very same day whilst there was a AGM taking place in London,communities demanding for the reopening of the twickenham mine,for sustainable incoming generating projects,Renewable energy to future in their social and labour plan,skills trainings and others.
The communities came in numbers that expected and took part of the initiative,where number of organisations ,political parties,unions,and media was involved to support the protest.






Handing over the memorandum and Anglo platinum offices in polokwane took place on the 8 June 2022 after communities where not satisfied with the respond from the twickenham management then took the matter further to the DMRE offices in polokwane, this was also a massive outcome where communities affected came in numbers to polokwane.
