SA National Mining Convention

On the 18 february 2024 the SCMAC project coordinator giving the closing remarks at the AMI in capetown thanking them for the opportunity to address the indaba especially an one of part of the community member.

As communities want the space to be of solidarity with other communities living in affected areas. She also emphasised on they are not impressed with the attendance of the communities living affected areas.

On the 23 August 2024 SCMAC travelled to north west Rustenburg to hold its Provincial mining convention, the purpose is to create solidarity in mining affected communities, have our own platform to raise issues and resolve, to also establish the coordinating structure, also to structure the plan of action on how we want the convention to look like.
